Our volunteering projects
Having a positive impact on people and the planet is one of our core beliefs. Through shared purpose and pursuit, we are committed to strengthening ties with the community and protecting and restoring the environment. NZM’s volunteering programme is designed to support staff to give back to causes that matter to them.

Build a Bike
We partnered with Build a Bike to put together 8 bikes for kids from Wharenui School. Teams participated in challenges to obtain the bike parts and tools needed to assemble the bike. Then they raced to be the first to finish and have their bike assessed (and safety checked!) by expert judges!

New Brighton beach

For a cleaner tomorrow: our beach clean-up efforts to protect the environment, preserve natural beauty, and create a healthier, greener future for all.

NZ Breast Cancer Foundation
Since 2023, we have hosted Pink Ribbon Breakfasts to support the fight against breast cancer. In 2025 we raised over $1300 with an exciting programme of events including a concert by two of our talented staff, a raffle with the amazing prize of a paid day off and the pink ribbon breakfast.

NZ Blood Service
Giving life, together: we organize quarterly trips to the NZ Blood Service Christchurch for staff to donate blood and make a meaningful impact on those in need.
