We need a superstar! 

This is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy, driven professional to hit the ground running within a pivotal role. Reporting through to the GM Sales & Marketing, whilst having a strong connection with the commercial trading team. 

You will: 

  • establish deep relationships and adding value with a portfolio of global brands, supporting them with detailed data and commercial analysis to support decision making. 

  • manage commercial relationships through the entire supply chain within a highly competitive landscape. 

  • develop new business opportunities, communicating the NZM value proposition. Understanding and interpreting market signals and ensure the NZM offering is tailored to these. 

  • be the interface between the Sales & Marketing and Commercial teams, to provide a deep understanding of the market, wool types / contracts, and pricing. 

  • create an efficient and streamlined process for driving sales – turning conversations into commercial outcomes. 


Relevant experience and attitude: 

 You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a fast paced, dynamic, and fluid environment. Alongside this, you will be tertiary qualified holding a business, economics, or marketing degree. While not essential, international business and primary industry awareness would be beneficial. 

You will have proven communication, influencing and negotiating skills that supports being able to close deals plus gain new business. Building long lasting and credible relationships will be a key strength, with strong consumer understanding and empathy. 

To be successful in this role, you will have strong commercial and analytic skills and be able to look for opportunities to apply innovation. You will have a passion for sustainability outcomes and driving purpose in business. 

We are looking for someone with the ‘x factor’ who will be driven to grow within this role and the wider team. Someone who is a self-starter, forward thinking, flexible to change and has high attention to detail. You will enjoy good banter and being part of a small but ambitious team.
