The Role


Reporting to the GM Strategic Implementation, the Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that foster community and positive relationships among diverse stakeholders, growers, brand partners, media and the NZM team.  Your talent and energy applied in this area will contribute to improved stakeholder engagement with the company.  


Working collaboratively across the business, you will be involved in planning and delivery of annual reporting, stakeholder communications, proactive media engagement including the preparation of media releases, production and refinement of company material and rallying exceptional communications within the team.  

 

In this role you will have the opportunity to lead and implement projects, communication strategies and identify and implement new communication initiatives.  


The Person


To be successful in this role you will be someone with a minimum of 5 years’ proven success in a similar role, and have a degree in either communications, marketing, journalism, or PR. 

 

You will be detail oriented and able to effectively implement your ideas drawing on the experience of the team. The nature of our business means you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be results driven.


You will have:


- Experience in developing and implementing inspiring communications.
- The ability to produce precise and accurate material and publications. Working collaboratively with the CEO and team to draw on their technical expertise
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills appropriate for diverse audiences, both online and offline
- Digitally savvy
-  Builds great relationships
- The ability to problem solve and use initiative
- Results and deadline focused with the ability to drive several concurrent projects
- Commercial acumen would be advantageous as would be a good understanding of the primary sector
- Good eye for detail
